Who we are

Meridian East Commodities FZCO, a company licensed in the DMCC Free Zone, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: info@meridian-east.ae.

What we collect

Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, company, email address, country, and the commercial details of your enquiry — commodity, indicative volume, destination port, shipment window and any specification notes. We also record the date and time of submission.

We do not use advertising trackers, we do not run third-party marketing pixels, and we do not build behavioural profiles of visitors.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare offers and samples, and — if we go on to trade — to administer the resulting contract. The legal basis is your consent when you submit the form, and thereafter our legitimate interest in conducting the business correspondence you started, or in performing a contract with you.

Who sees it

Enquiries are received and answered by our trade desk in Dubai. Where an enquiry requires lot selection, sampling or an origin quotation, the commercial details are shared with our origin service providers in Kenya on a need-to-know basis. Our web hosting provider processes the message in transit as part of delivering it.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not pass your details to other buyers, brokers or agents.

Where it goes

Data is processed in the United Arab Emirates and, where an enquiry requires origin input, in Kenya. If you are in a jurisdiction with cross-border transfer restrictions, submitting the form is your consent to that transfer for the purpose of answering your enquiry.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a contract are retained for up to 24 months and then deleted. Where a contract results, records are retained for the period required by UAE commercial, accounting and tax law.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to further contact. Email info@meridian-east.ae and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you are, you may also have a right to complain to a data protection authority.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own and requires none to function.
